AVG 2016: How to remove AVG Shredder from the Context Menu?
What happened here is you’ve visited AVG website to download free antivirus and ended up installing AVG IS with AVG Zen, which you’ve not expected or don’t want.
This time it found 30 instances under the file name "gvma64.dat". The "Trojan" reported by Spybot in multiple scheduled daily scans was never detected by Malwarebytes Premium 3.1.2, nor by AVG 17.3.3011, both of which operate with automatic updating. Approximately a week later there were no further "detections" in the daily scans (during the past few days).
Should be updated daily but you might want to do this every few days if not daily. You will probably need to be manually updating them from here on out once the auto-update servers get turned off for AVG 7.5 and this will keep you from getting error messages.
Until then you can leave it checked if you want to. Click the "Folder" button at the bottom of that dialog window. Browse to the location where you saved the BIN file you downloaded in step 1 then click OK.
Talos was able to develop a tool which decrypts the files encrypted by the Tesla Crypt ransomware.
At the first glance, the dropper appears to be related to the original Crypto Locker.
Link is to File Hippo an alternative download site I’ve used and trusted for years. Go to the following official AVG site link and download the following update file: AVG Free V 7 Priority updates.
